Yoga is more than exercise and stretching

 

I'm a curvy woman filled with empathy for those of us who are not yoga supermodels headstanding by a pool! I don't buy into that yoga stereotype for myself or my clients.

 

The very spirit of yoga means it should be accessible to all, at whatever level.

How Yoga helps

 

The benefits of a regular yoga practice for mind, body and soul are well documented. Regardless of age, gender, size and fitness level:

  • Yoga simultaneously strengthens your body and calms the mind.

  • Physical and mental well-being improves, benefitting you long after you've left the yoga mat.

I have been teaching yoga in the Oxted area since 2013. If you are able to climb a flight of stairs and lay on the floor, join me for some bending, flexing, breathing, stretching, strengthening and learning.

 

Oh, and because we are real people, we sometimes laugh too!

I teach two types of yoga

Yin Yoga is slow and calming

Yang Yoga is an energising flow

Active Yang Yoga Classes

Mondays, 10:30 to 11:45 am

 

Active and strengthening, my Yang Yoga builds muscle strength, stamina and flexibility. 

At a deeper level, it improves blood flow and respiration, enhancing your body's overall functionality, vitality and well-being.

We round off the practice with a short but blissful relaxation.

Private Yoga:

At your home or workplace for individuals, couples or small

Calming Yin Yoga Classes

 

Wednesdays, 09:15 to 10:15 am


Gentle but powerful, my Yin Yoga is an hour of blissful de-stressing, slowing down and stretching your body. 

Yin yoga movements and breathwork boosts blood flow and circulation, reduces tension and improves flexibility.

If you can climb the stairs to the yoga loft and lay on the floor, come and join this friendly group.

 

You'll feel…ahhh…so much better.

Yoga Cancellation, Refunds & Lateness

I rarely have to use my cancellation policy, but for the sake of clarity, here goes:

 

I run my business with heart and soul, but it is a business. I have overheads and my time is just as precious as yours.

Online: If you cannot make a class, I livestream every session on Zoom, and provide video recordings for you to view at your convenience.

Gift Your Spot: If you know you're going to be away for a class or two, with prior notice, I am happy for you to gift your spot to a friend provided they can climb a flight of stairs and have some yoga experience.

Refunds: Individual classes are not refundable.

Late Arrivals: Latecomers are disruptive to the rest of the class. Please arrive on time to settle in or you may find the doors have been closed!

  • Ample free parking.
